
“The members of the Georgian National Communications Commission, Ekaterine Imadedze and Natia Kukuladze, as well as ComCom officials, held important meetings with representatives of international organizations and telecommunications sector within the framework of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) organized by the Global system for mobile communications (GSMA,” - the Communications Commission reports.
Reportedly, the meetings were aimed at deepening international cooperation and promoting the development of strategic projects.
At the bilateral meetings held in Barcelona, directions of cooperation between the Georgian National Communications Commission and the GSMA Association were discussed, namely: involvement in sectoral studies, capacity building and the potential of Georgia to host a regional event in the field of mobile communications and telecommunications. A further cooperation plan was also made with the international research organization Cullen International.
To be reminded, the MWC is the largest event in the field of telecommunications, which this year had more than 88,000 guests and participants. At the 2023 event, such important topics as the development of the 5th and 6th generation mobile technologies (5G, 6G), digital transformation and the role of technology for a better future of the world were considered.
