“The Convention and Exhibition Bureau of the Georgian National Tourism Administration featured in 17 international business tourism fairs hosted in 13 countries this year to promote the country’s potential in the industry,” - the state agency said on Monday in the end-of-year summary of its work.
As the National Tourism Administration of Georgia reported, the Convention Bureau along with representatives of the private sector participated in the events hosted in Germany, France, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Israel.
Reportedly, hundreds of leading international companies have seen presentations about Georgia at the events.
The body also held training sessions, led by international experts, for member companies and promoted the country’s business tourism prospects in international media. Bilateral B2B meetings between the Georgian and foreign companies were also held.
In parallel with the participation in the events, the Convention and Exhibition Bureau of the Georgian National Tourism Administration held trainings for the member companies. The workshops were led by international experts. About 70 company representatives attended the trainings.
This year, an article about the business tourism potential of Georgia was prepared in cooperation with the Convention and Exhibition Bureau and BOARDROOM. The article describes the hotels and exhibition spaces located in Georgia, where large-scale conferences, meetings, congresses and forums can be held.
