The Georgian winery Badagoni has expanded its international presence by establishing an office, showroom, and warehouse infrastructure in Wenzhou, one of the major cities in Zhejiang province, China, with a population of approximately 10 million as of the 2020 census.
This strategic development is being implemented in collaboration with Wenzhou Bydoway Import & Export Co., the winery’s principal partner in the Chinese market. Under the leadership of Lu Rong Ming, the Chinese partner company has committed to investing $30 million to support the development and promotion of the Badagoni brand across China.
The investment plan encompasses the establishment of Badagoni Georgian cultural centers, premium showrooms, and representative offices in multiple urban centers throughout China.
By 2024, the Chinese partner had already inaugurated 18 restaurants and showrooms in central and southern China, playing a significant role in enhancing the visibility and appreciation of the Georgian wine.
Badagoni exclusively markets premium, high-quality wines in China, contributing to the rising international profile and market awareness of Georgian viticulture within the region.
