According to the Ministry of Finance, before the signing ceremony, they spoke about the importance of cooperation between Georgia and Germany.
Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Santiago Alonso Rodriguez, Head of Division for South-Eastern and Eastern Europe and South Caucasus of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, stressed the importance of a successful partnership between the two countries.
The document signed today is a framework agreement, which provides for an additional grant of 5.2 million euros to be allocated from Germany to Georgia for the project: "Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development - Georgia." The total amount of grant allocated for the project is 23.7 million euros.
The Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, once again thanked the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany for the support provided by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to our country in financing important projects, as well as deepening relations with Europe.
The parties expressed hope that further cooperation with Germany, as Georgia's leading development partner, will continue to be fruitful and that the projects and programs funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany will be used to develop important areas of the country.
