“In January-June 2023, 2,860,117 international travelers visited Georgia. Of these, the number of other visits (non-tourist) was – 330,600, and of the visits made by international travelers were 2,529,517,” - the National Tourism Administration of Georgia reported.
It should be noted that according to the Administration, in the 1st half of the current year, the visits made by international travelers increased by 75.9% compared to the same period of 2022, and it is -26% behind the similar figure of 2019 before the pandemic.
According to the visits made by international visitors in January-June 2023, a list of the top-15 countries is as follows:
Turkey - 582,527 visitors;
Russia - 577,632 visitors;
Armenia - 397,116 visitors;
Israel - 106,530 visitors;
Azerbaijan - 85,777 visitors;
Ukraine - 67,040 visitors;
Kazakhstan - 57,771 visitors;
Iran - 50,932 visitors;
Belarus - 44,570 visitors;
Poland - 36,103 visitors;
India - 35,140 visitors.
Germany - 25,020 visitors;
Uzbekistan - 20,250 visitors;
The USA - 18,359 visitors;
Philippines - 15,484 visitors.
