"This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Georgia. This unique project was implemented by the Embassy of Israel together with local partners in connection with this anniversary. The 3 main goals of the project are:
1. In recent years, Georgia (like many other countries) has faced many cyber threats and challenges. Israel is considered a world leader in cyber technology and we are pleased to share our knowledge and experience with the Georgian partners;
2. Discovering, training and supporting the next generation of Georgian cyber and digital experts who will contribute to the development of the local ecosystem;
3. Provide commercial connections and B2B opportunities between companies and private sector entities in both countries.
The School of Digital Culture will accept a group selected according to the relevant criteria, 30 young people aged from 17 to 25, who will undergo a 4-day intensive course led by leading experts from Israel and Georgia.
The relevant directions of the digital school are: protection of personal data; cyber security; legal aspects of cybercrime and cyberspace; e-governance and its importance; hybrid challenges, misinformation, propaganda and "fake news"; artificial intelligence and machine learning; digital literacy and digital transformation.
The Embassy of Israel would like to thank the Business and Technology University (BTU) for its support of the project," - the statement reads.
