According to the data published by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, 9,905 visitors from China arrived in Georgia in the 1st quarter of 2024, which is 290% more than the figure of the same period of the previous year. In particular, in the first quarter of 2023, 2,540 Chinese citizens entered the country.

According to the same data, in the 1st quarter of the current year, the number of visits made by international travelers to Georgia totaled 1,157,347, therefore, 0.9% of them were visits made by Chinese citizens.

To be reminded, Georgia launched the visa-free regime for Chinese citizens in September 2023. On February 26, 2024, Georgian citizens were informed about the establishment of a visa-free regime by the People's Republic of China.
