The airline Vision Air has officially launched regular air service between the capitals of Georgia and Moldova, the Association of Airports of Georgia announced.
The first Chisinau–Tbilisi flight was carried out today, bringing 100 passengers from Moldova’s capital to Tbilisi.
An official reception was held at Tbilisi International Airport to mark the airline’s entry into the Georgian market. The event was attended by Levan Tskhadadze, Director of Operations at the Association of Airports of Georgia, along with representatives of Vision Air and TAV Georgia, the operator of Tbilisi and Batumi airports.
According to Tskhadadze, the start of Vision Air’s operations holds significant importance for tourism as well as for strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
“It is important that another European airline has entered the Georgian aviation market. This will contribute to the development of tourism and create more choice for passengers. We welcome all new partners that start operating at Georgian airports,” said Tskhadadze.
Vision Air, a Moldovan airline, began operating in partnership with Ukrainian SkyUp Airlines in the summer of 2025. Currently, regular flights on the Chisinau–Tbilisi–Chisinau route are operated once a week, with plans to increase frequency in the near future.
At present, FLYONE is the other carrier operating flights between Moldova and Georgia.
