
The Business Association of Georgia hosted the Great Britain's Trade Commissioner for Central Asia and Eastern Europe, Kenan Poleo, who was on his first official visit to Georgia.
Within the framework of the meeting, Georgia's investment potential, bilateral trade relations and prospects were discussed. The conversation also touched on the importance of improving access to the market for British companies and developing financial and trade policies.
During the meeting, the president of the Business Association of Georgia, Soso Pkhakadze, drew attention to the BAG index data of the third quarter of this year, the importance of air travel and direct flights to Great Britain, as well as the current visa regime.
The representatives of the member companies of the Business Association of Georgia talked about the actual issues for them, in particular, the conversation touched on wine culture and its promotion, energy and real estate topics.
"We welcome the UK Trade and Business Commissioner to Georgia and we hope that he will be a frequent visitor to our country, because Britain is a strategic partner of Georgia and therefore it is important to establish and develop close trade relations. We hope that such meetings and discussions will contribute to the deepening of trade ties, which will naturally have a positive impact on the relations between the states and the economic progress of our country," said the Executive Director of the Business Association of Georgia, Levan Vepkhvadze.
