The Tourism Minister of Jamaica Edmund Bartlett stated that holding the World Tourism Day event in Tbilisi was a success for Georgia. 

"I am delighted with the harmony between Jamaica and Georgia. Georgia surprised us by hosting 7 million visitors, which I am even jealous of, because our population number is 4.3 million. The World Tourism Day was celebrated in Georgia, the theme of which was tourism and peace. In many ways, tourism is a major driver of peace around the world for the simple reason that tourism connects people. Today, Georgia is sending a message to the world that we are on the side of peace," - Edmund Bartlett said. 

Under the auspices of the United Nations Tourism Organization, Georgia hosted the World Tourism Day for the first time.

Within the framework of the World Tourism Day, Georgia was visited by high-ranking guests, in total more than 300 delegates, from many countries, ministers of tourism, heads of departments and professionals in the field of tourism.
