,,From April 20, Transavia, the low-cost airline of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will start operating at the Tbilisi's Shota Rustaveli International Airport. This is very important news for Georgia, because the Netherlands is a strategic destination for the tourism and aviation industries of our country. The airline will operate direct regular flights on the Amsterdam-Tbilisi-Amsterdam route twice a week.
,,We will continue to promote Georgia and conduct marketing campaigns in order to present the tourist potential of our country even more and in a dignified way in the Netherlands, as a result, we will receive even more European tourists in the country through direct flights, which, of course, will have a positive impact on the aviation and tourism of our country. Sustainable and diversified development of the tourism and aviation sectors is extremely important for us. The mentioned result, first of all, strengthens the local entrepreneurs, as well as the economy of our country", - Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, said.
The United Airports of Georgia conducted negotiations with the management of the airline within the aviation forum "Routes EUROPE-" and "Routes World", which ended successfully.
