
"Transportation, in terms of developing the so-called Middle Corridor, is very important to have a high level of coordination between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey in order to be even more competitive and attract more cargo, and most importantly, keep these cargoes in the corridor for a long time. Accordingly, let's offer better conditions to our clients", - the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia said after the tripartite meeting held today in Tbilisi, where the Ministers of the three countries discussed the issues of development and competitiveness of the transport corridor of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
"In general, the Middle Corridor is a significant link between Asia and Europe. Accordingly, the cooperation between Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan in the transit, transport, logistics direction is of the utmost importance," - the Economy Minister noted.
In addition, according to Levan Davitashvili, during the meeting with the Turkish and Azerbaijani colleagues, specific problems were discussed and the ways to solve them were drawn up in order to speed up the cargo turnover.
