,,Raising the awareness and sales of the Georgian wine is an important challenge and everything is done by the government in this regard,” - the Badagoni wine company Giorgi Salakaia said on the air of Radio Sivrce.
As Giorgi Salakaia stated, even 15 years ago, “zero GEL was spent on the promotion of the Georgian wine”.
"The geographical factor and an annual increase in the wine sales really make us happy. A lot has been done by the government in terms of raising the awareness of the Georgian wine. If we consider the 2009 year-budget, when zero GEL was spent on the promotion of the Georgian wine, we have an unprecedented growth and substantial funding compared to the previous years with the participation of the National Wine Agency of Georgia. This year, 14 million GEL has already been allocated for raising the awareness of the Georgian wine. No company will be able to increase the Georgian wine brand awareness on its own, since this is related to large financial expenses", - Giorgi Salakaia told Radio Sivrce.
