
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) in Awaza, Turkmenistan.
The two leaders discussed the strengthening political and economic relations between Georgia and Uzbekistan, along with opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors. Particular attention was given to Georgia’s strategic role in regional connectivity.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Kobakhidze invited President Mirziyoyev and his delegation to participate in the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, scheduled for October 22–23, 2025.
The Georgian delegation to the UN conference includes Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
