Slovakia remains a strong and consistent supporter of Georgia’s European integration efforts, said Levan Davitashvili, Georgia’s First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, during the Georgian-Slovak Friendship Evening held in Bratislava, the Slovak capital.
“Slovakia expresses its support for Georgia on all platforms, and it is very important for us to further strengthen economic, cultural, and political relations with Slovakia,” Davitashvili emphasized.
He noted that intensive economic cooperation between the two countries began last year and is steadily growing. “We see that investment activity from Slovakia to Georgia is increasing day by day. Many projects are currently under discussion or already being implemented, focusing on economic collaboration,” he added.
The event brought together high-level officials and business leaders, including Juraj Blanár, Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Shalva Gogoladze, Georgian Minister of Sports, Konstantine Kvachakidze, Georgian Ambassador to Slovakia, Tariel Khechikashvili, founder of Iberia Business Group and Nodar Giorgadze, founder of Gino Holding.
Organized by the International Fund for Sport, Tourism and Youth, the Georgian-Slovak Friendship Evening aimed to foster deeper economic ties, with a particular focus on Slovak investments in Georgia, including multi-million-dollar projects in sports and other sectors.
