As for the salt export, Georgia’s main trading partner is Qatar. Last year, 25 tons of salt were sold to Qatar, 20 tons - to Armenia.
In 2021, Ukraine was among the top three salt importing countries, from which more than 10,000 tons of salt worth $1.3 million were imported. However, in the following years, the salt import from Ukraine decreased significantly, which was probably caused by the war started by Russia and a heavy blow to the country's economy.
