According to the latest data from the PMCG Employment Tracker, Georgia saw a notable increase in the number of high-income earners in April 2025, signaling a shift in wage distribution across the country.
The share of individuals earning a monthly salary of 9,600 GEL or more rose to 3.1%, marking a 0.7 percentage point increase compared to April 2024, and a 1.2 percentage point increase from the same period in 2023.
Similarly, the proportion of employees earning 2,400 GEL or more also grew, although specific percentage changes were not provided.
In contrast, the share of low-income earners has declined. In April 2025, 12.9% of employees received a monthly salary of 600 GEL or less, which is 2.2 percentage points lower than in April 2024 and 6.1 percentage points lower compared to April 2023.
These figures suggest gradual upward movement in wage levels, with fewer workers in the lowest income bracket and a modest but steady growth in the number of high earners.
