As a result of the cooperation between the UNESCO's Memory of the World (MoW) Programme and Google Arts & Culture, a separate section on the portal Google Arts & Culture was dedicated to the documents included in the UNESCO Memory of World Register. All the manuscripts preserved in the National Archives, which have so far been recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Documentary Heritage, are fully represented.
Here you will find the recording of the online lecture of Head of the Scientific Department of the Georgian National Archives, Ketevan Asatiani, about the Georgian manuscripts included in the UNESCO Memory of World Register.
It is noteworthy that the Committee of the UNESCO Memory of World Register placed the manuscripts preserved in the National Archives (2013-2017) in the Memory of World Register three times in succession. These documents are: Vakhushti Batonishvili’s Atlas and "Description of the Kingdom of Georgia" (1745), 8 ancient Georgian manuscripts and Gospel-Palimpsest dated IX-XV centuries (IX-X, XII-XIII, XIV centuries).
