Imports of pyrotechnics to Georgia have experienced a significant increase over an 11-month period. During this time, the country imported a total of 1,283 tons of fireworks and other pyrotechnic products, with a total value of $8.502 million USD.
Official statistics indicate that the value of imports rose by 51%, while the volume increased by 108%, suggesting a notable reduction in the average cost of pyrotechnics this year.
From January to November, the majority of pyrotechnic imports originated from four countries. Bulgaria accounted for 278 tons of products valued at $4.328 million USD, while China supplied 853 tons valued at $3.445 million USD. This data indicates that pyrotechnics sourced from China were less expensive compared to those from Bulgaria.
Additionally, smaller quantities of pyrotechnics were imported from Poland, totaling 151 tons at a value of $602,000 USD. Imports from the Czech Republic were valued at $103,000 USD.
Insignificant volumes of pyrotechnic products were also imported from Austria, Germany, Turkey, and France.
