Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili will embark on a two-day official visit to Ankara at the invitation of the President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to Georgia’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Turkiye, Archil Kalandia.
During the visit, President Kavelashvili will hold high-level meetings with President Erdoğan and the Chair of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. He will be accompanied by his spouse and an official delegation.
According to Ambassador Kalandia, the talks will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy, transport, trade, and logistics.
“Turkiye is a country of strategic significance for Georgia and remains our largest trade and economic partner. The President will emphasize the importance of deepening trade-economic ties,” said Kalandia.
The leaders are also expected to discuss regional cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Trans-Caspian and Middle Corridor projects, where both Georgia and Turkiye play pivotal roles.
