
The Georgian State Electrosystem made a profit of GEL 304 million in 2022, which is an increase of GEL 69.5 million (29.6%) compared to the data of 2021.
According to the audit report conducted by KPMG GEORGIA, last year the revenues of the state company increased by GEL 52.6 million and reached GEL 346.17 million (2021 - GEL 293.52 million).
The profit made from electricity export and transit made a significant contribution to the growth of revenues, which have increased significantly annually.
The revenue structure of the Georgian State Electrosystem is as follows:
Electricity transmission - GEL 297.26 million/(2021 - GEL 254.77 million)
Dispatch – GEL 0/(2021 - GEL 19.7 million)
Export - GEL 25.87 million/(2021 - GEL 8.6 million)
Transit - GEL 22.38 million/(2021 - GEL 8.12 million)
As of 2022, the Georgian State Electrosystem owns assets of GEL 1.7 billion.
The Georgian State Electrosystem is the single Electricity Transmission System Operator. The company owns and operates 4 357 km transmission lines and 93 substations all over the country. Transmission network is managed by the National Dispatch Center and its technical maintenance is provided by the 4 regional networks (Eastern, Western, Southern and Kakheti). GSE also manages the cross-border transmission lines interconnecting with the neighboring countries: Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
