According to the Ministry, after the screening, the Ambassador of Georgia, Teimuraz Lezhava, talked to Santo Akiko about the importance of the Georgian cinematography and culture. 

The guest thanked everyone who made it possible to hold such a successful cultural event to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Within the framework of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Japan, the Georgian Film Festival continues in Tokyo.

The Georgian Film Festival opened at the Iwanami Hall, one of the oldest cinemas in Tokyo, earlier this month. A total of 35 Georgian films will be screened within the festival. The co-organizers of the festival, along with the Embassy of Georgia, are a fan of Georgian culture, Takehide Harada, and a well-known Kartvelologist, Yasuhiro Kojima, who translated the Georgian films into Japanese.
