
The Georgian airports showed a 46% increase in passenger traffic in January-February 2024 compared to the post-pandemic rate.
According to the data collected by the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, in January-February 2024, the Georgian airports served a total of 915,710 passengers with regular and non-regular flights, which is 38% more compared to the data of the first 2 months of 2023, and 106 % more than the figure seen in the same period of 2022.
As per the statistical data, the Georgian airports served 626,137 passengers in January-February 2019, 443,953 passengers in January-February 2022, 665,314 passengers in January-February 2023, and 915,710 passengers in January-February 2024.
Based on the January-February 2024 data, the Tbilisi International Airport served 581,868 passengers, which is 29% more than the number of passengers carried by the airport in January-February 2023.
The Tbilisi International Airport served 452,459 passengers in January-February 2023, 324,731 passengers in the same period of 2022, and 490,608 passengers in January-February 2019. Based on the mentioned statistical indicators, it can be clearly seen that in the first two months of 2024 there is a 19% increase in passenger flow compared to the first two months of 2019, and a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
Compared to January-February 2019, there is a 101% increase in passenger traffic at the Batumi International Airport. In January-February 2024, the Batumi International Airport served 60,693 passengers, which is 29% more compared to the same period of 2023, 43% more compared to the same period of 2022.
The Batumi International Airport served 46,951 passengers in the first two months of 2023, 42,518 passengers in January-February 2022, and 30,251 passengers in January-February 2019.
According to the January-February 2024 data, the Kutaisi International Airport showed a 161% increase in passenger flow compared to the pre-pandemic figures. According to the data published by the Civil Aviation Agency, in January-February 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, there was a 68% increase in passenger flow, and a 263% increase compared to the same period of 2022.
The Kutaisi International Airport served 103,468 passengers in 2 months of 2019, 74,595 passengers in January-February 2022, 161,271 passengers in 2 months of 2023, and 270,446 passengers in the same period of 2024.
