
President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, is participating in the Reykjavík Economic Conference 2025, held on May 8–9. The annual event is organized by the Central Bank of Iceland in collaboration with the Center for International Macroeconomics at Northwestern University.
The conference brings together leading academics and high-level policymakers for two days of in-depth discussions on macroeconomic analysis, policy challenges, and the evolving role of central banks in a rapidly changing global environment.
This year’s participants include prominent figures such as John C. Williams, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; Ásgeir Jónsson, Governor of the Central Bank of Iceland; and senior representatives from the central banks of China, Denmark, Montenegro, and several EU countries.
Natia Turnava will contribute to the international dialogue as a panelist in the session titled “Financial Stability and the Rate Reduction Cycle,” sharing insights on monetary policy and financial system resilience.
