
President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, took part in the 27th meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), held in Yerevan, Armenia.
The event featured opening remarks by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and BSTDB President Serhat Köksal. In her address, Turnava highlighted the geopolitical challenges impacting the Bank, noting that these are largely shaped by regional developments. She commended BSTDB shareholders for navigating these issues with “commitment and caution.”
As part of the meeting, a business forum was also organized, inaugurated by President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan. The forum centered on promoting sustainable development in small economies within the Black Sea region, encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences through collaboration with BSTDB.
The BSTDB, headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece, is an international financial institution established by 11 member countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Türkiye, and Ukraine.
