The NATO Liaison Office in Georgia reaffirmed the Alliance’s ongoing support for the country’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations in a statement released on Monday.
“For over three decades, Georgia has been firmly committed to Euro-Atlantic integration, and NATO has consistently supported Georgia’s reform efforts and aspirations,” the statement read.
Describing Georgia as one of NATO’s “closest partners,” the Office highlighted the country's active contributions to NATO-led missions and participation in joint military exercises—demonstrating Georgia’s commitment to collective security.
The statement also noted that Georgia continues to strengthen its defence and security institutions in line with NATO standards through established mechanisms such as the Annual National Programme (ANP) and the Substantial NATO–Georgia Package (SNGP).
Reiterating its long-standing position, NATO emphasized that it remains committed to the decision made at the 2008 Bucharest Summit and reiterated at subsequent summits: Georgia will become a member of NATO.
“The Alliance continues to support Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and democratic development,” the Office stated via Facebook.
