
From January to May 2025, motor cars topped both Georgia’s export and import lists, highlighting their dominant role in the country's foreign trade.
On the export side, motor cars accounted for USD 974.7 million, making up 37.6% of total exports. They were followed by:

Precious metal ores and concentrates – USD 136.5 million (5.3% of total exports)

Spirituous beverages – USD 98.4 million (3.8% of total exports)
On the import side, motor cars also ranked first with a total value of USD 1.3 billion (18.0% of total imports). Other top imports included:

Petroleum and petroleum oils – USD 494.6 million (6.9%)

Paintings, drawings, and pastels (executed entirely by hand) – USD 481.2 million (6.7%)
These figures underscore the continued importance of the automotive sector in both export and import dynamics, as well as the notable role of high-value art and energy products in Georgia’s trade structure.
