At a ceremony marking TAV Airports' 20th anniversary in Georgia, Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili commended the company’s contribution to the country’s aviation development. Held at Tbilisi International Airport, the event celebrated a period of rapid sectoral growth driven by public-private collaboration.
Kvrivishvili emphasized that over 70 international airlines now operate across 120+ direct routes, with 37% connecting to European destinations — a result of Georgia’s diversification strategy. She noted the successful entry of British Airways and EasyJet, contributing to tourism and job creation.
Georgia reached record tourism revenue of $4.4 billion in 2024, and passenger traffic has already surpassed 5.6 million in 2025. The Minister highlighted that these achievements are supported by targeted marketing, infrastructure investments, and strong international partnerships.
