Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, introduced Levan Moseshvili as the new Director General of the Georgian Airports Association to the staff.
Kvrivishvili highlighted Moseshvili’s extensive experience in the civil aviation sector, including a strong background in the private industry. She expressed confidence that his expertise would greatly benefit both the Georgian Airports Association and the broader civil aviation sector, particularly as large-scale infrastructure projects and structural reforms are underway.
“Levan Moseshvili is a seasoned professional in aviation, which is crucial for successfully implementing the government’s aviation development projects and establishing Georgia as a regional aviation hub,” Kvrivishvili stated.
Moseshvili brings over 20 years of experience in aviation, having previously led the Aerodromes and Airports Department of the Civil Aviation Agency for 12 years. He has also held key roles at the United Transport Administration of Georgia, Tbilisi International Airport, and TAV Georgia.
The Deputy Minister also expressed gratitude to former General Director, Irakli Karkashadze, for his contributions, noting that Karkashadze will continue his career in the aviation sector in a different role.
The LLC “Union of Georgian Airports,” a state-owned company, manages both international and local airports in Georgia, including Kutaisi International Airport, the country’s second-largest airport, along with all three regional airports.
