The project aims to organize a cognitive tourism route, the first part of which includes the development of Georgia's historical-cultural, agrarian, tourist and educational potential and promotion of local people’s employment in a 150-kilometer section from Tbilisi to Alaverdi.

Badagoni Wine Company provides technical implementation of the project and develops an investment plan, while the Partnership Fund is ready to finance the project within its investment mandate. To this end, a memorandum was signed among the Partnership Fund, Badagoni Wine Company and Alaverdi Development Fund. The memorandum was signed by the founder of Badagoni Wine Company, Giorgi Salakaia, Metropolitan of Alaverdi Abba Davit and the Executive Director of the Partnership Fund, Davit Saganelidze. 

According to the Metropolitan of Alaverdi Abba Davit, within the framework of this joint, tripartite agreement, each facility will be studied and developed so as not to damage the historical environment.

"The Partnership Fund will be involved in this process with its capabilities, financial support or by inviting well-known consultants. We are planning to arrange an important tourist trail along its entire length. The final result of the project will be attractive for the tourism field and profitable for the private sector,"- Metropolitan Abba Davit said. 

According to Giorgi Salakaia, the founder of Badagoni Wine Company, the company "Badogoni" plays an important role in the project and the signing of the memorandum is a new beginning of this great route. 

"Today is a very important day, both in the life of the diocese and for our company, as a very important memorandum was signed, reaching an agreement between the Partnership Fund and the diocese on launching a great project called "Golden Route in Golden History" – a tourist route, which covers up to 150 kilometers. "Badagoni” is represented in this project as one of the partners. Within our capabilities, we are definitely going to actually implement the projects that are already underway and we think today's memorandum will pave the great path that we are starting together," - Giorgi Salakaia stated.

Davit Saganelidze, Executive Director of the Partnership Fund, said that this project includes many aspects and will be implemented in several stages.

I wish this project to be carried out successfully along with you, the Partnership Fund team will do a lot of important work in this regard,” - Davit Saganelidze said.
