Tamar Makharashvili, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia addressed the audience within the framework of the conference on the post-pandemic steps at the elementary level and stressed the need for international cooperation to eliminate global educational losses.
The First Deputy Minister also spoke about the importance of the international conference held in Tbilisi. As he noted, the local experts, teachers, school principals and donor organizations, along with the international experts, will discuss important issues such as losses of the world education system in the pandemic and develop recommendations to eliminate them.
"Together with our colleagues, we will discuss the specific indicators used to assess the learning losses in different countries and discuss a single methodology to measure the validity of damages.
It is important that even before the end of the pandemic, we begin to think about how to eliminate specific training losses. We, together with our partner organizations and colleagues, are discussing the recommendations and approaches that will help not only Georgia, but also the world education system to eliminate the losses," - said Tamar Makharashvili.
The conference on the post-pandemic steps at the elementary level will be held in Tbilisi from May 3 through May 5, and its main goal is to identify the losses of the educational process in the post-pandemic period and to identify specific ways to eliminate them.
