Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze condemned the murder of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk as an “appalling and condemnable act,” saying it reflects the dangerous direction of so-called liberals and pseudo-liberals in today’s world.
Kobakhidze highlighted that the killing occurred in broad daylight at a university and was strongly denounced by American leaders, including former President Trump.
He criticized a recent rally of liberal activists outside his party’s headquarters, calling the participants “shameless” and accusing them of being influenced by foreign money and harmful ideologies. Kobakhidze specifically condemned members of the opposition party UNM, accusing them of mocking Kirk’s murder and labeling them as “killers” and “dark,” referring to their moral and intellectual state.
Citing sociological research, Kobakhidze claimed that although UNM supporters are aware of the violent actions linked to UNM members, they continue to back them, which he attributed to ignorance and a dangerous mindset.
