
According to the National Statistics Office (GeoStat), Georgia’s consumer prices increased by 0.4% in November 2025 compared to the previous month, bringing the annual inflation rate to 4.8%.
GeoStat also reported that the core inflation indicator, which excludes volatile items like tobacco, rose by 2.6% year-on-year in November, while the annual core inflation rate stood at 2.3%.
“The monthly inflation was primarily influenced by price changes across several product groups. In food and non-alcoholic beverages, prices rose by 0.9%, contributing 0.34 percentage points to the monthly inflation. Significant increases were recorded in oil and fats (4.2%), vegetables and herbs (3.8%), bread and bakery products (1.9%), fish (1.4%), milk, cheese, and eggs (1.4%), meat and meat products (1.2%), coffee, tea, and cocoa (0.5%), as well as mineral and spring water, non-alcoholic beverages, and natural juices (0.2%). Conversely, prices fell for fruits and grapes (−6.8%) and sugar, jam, and other sweets (−1.5%).
In the miscellaneous goods and services category, prices increased by 1.8%, contributing 0.09 percentage points to the monthly index, driven by personal belongings not included in other categories (3.2%) and personal hygiene products (2.7%).
Prices in furniture, household goods, and home care rose by 0.9%, adding 0.05 percentage points. Notable increases occurred in daily household goods and services (2.4%), household textiles (2.1%), furniture, carpets, and floor coverings (1.5%), and glassware, tableware, and household utensils (0.7%). Price declines were recorded in heating and cooking appliances, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, and other household items including installation and repairs (−3.1%), as well as tools, equipment, and appliances for home and garden (−2.3%).
In the transport sector, prices fell by 0.4%, contributing −0.05 percentage points to monthly inflation, driven by decreases in transport services (−1.4%) and the operation of personal vehicles (−0.3%),” the GeoStat report states.
