
In 2024, Georgia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached 93,022.3 million GEL, according to the National Statistics Service of Georgia (GeoStat).
Tbilisi accounted for the largest share of national GDP at 53.1 percent, followed by Adjara A.R (9.3 percent), Imereti (7.7 percent), Kvemo Kartli (7.1 percent), and Samegrelo–Zemo Svaneti (5.5 percent).
In Tbilisi, value added was primarily driven by wholesale and retail trade, including the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (23.7 percent). Other major contributors were real estate activities (10.9 percent) and construction (10.4 percent).
Adjara A.R’s economy was led by construction (14.7 percent), followed by real estate activities (12.6 percent) and wholesale and retail trade, including vehicle repairs (9.5 percent).
In Imereti—the third-largest region by value added—economic activity was mainly concentrated in agriculture, forestry, and fishing (11.4 percent), manufacturing (10.1 percent), and education (9.8 percent).
Meanwhile, Kvemo Kartli saw significant contributions from manufacturing (16.1 percent), agriculture, forestry, and fishing (14.1 percent), and public administration and defence, including compulsory social security (9.6 percent).
