
According to data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), gross domestic product at current prices amounted to 27,980.9 million lari in the third quarter of 2025. In real terms, GDP increased by 6.4 per cent compared with the same period of the previous year, while the GDP deflator rose by 4.7 per cent.
GeoStat reported that economic growth during the quarter was largely driven by information and communication (21.1 per cent), education (20.7 per cent), financial and insurance activities (14.7 per cent), public administration and defence, including compulsory social security (9.7 per cent), transport and storage (8.1 per cent), arts, entertainment and recreation (13.0 per cent), as well as wholesale and retail trade, including the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.0 per cent).
In contrast, output declined in agriculture, forestry and fishing by 5.4 per cent, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 3.3 per cent, and in mining and quarrying by 8.7 per cent.
In terms of GDP structure, trade accounted for the largest share at 15.0 per cent, followed by manufacturing at 9.4 per cent. Other major contributors included real estate activities (8.8 per cent), construction (8.4 per cent), information and communication (7.4 per cent), agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.3 per cent), transport and storage (6.2 per cent), public administration (6.0 per cent), and education (5.4 per cent).
