According to GeoStat, Georgia’s construction cost index increased by 0.3% in October 2025 compared to the previous month and by 4.3% year-on-year.
The residential segment fell slightly by 0.02% month-on-month but rose 6.1% annually. Non-residential construction costs increased by 1.3% from September and 7.5% year-on-year. The civil construction segment grew by 0.3% month-on-month and 1.4% annually.
GeoStat notes that the monthly increase was mainly driven by a 1.7% rise in the average nominal wage in the construction sector, contributing 0.45 percentage points to the overall growth.
Year-on-year, the 4.3% rise was largely due to a 16.2% increase in construction workers’ wages and a 5.2% rise in other expenses, contributing 4.03 and 0.32 percentage points respectively. Since February 2022, construction costs have risen by 25.2%.
