As of April 21, 2025, Georgia’s agri-food exports have climbed by 19%, reaching $56.9 million—an increase of $9.2 million compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. The growth was primarily driven by higher exports of nuts, fruit and vegetable juices, and wine.
Nut exports saw the largest increase, rising by $5.2 million to $19.0 million. Juice exports grew by $4.3 million to reach $5.7 million, while wine exports rose by $2.3 million to total $11.2 million.
Germany emerged as a key destination, with exports increasing by 43%, largely due to a $4.3 million rise in juice exports, which now total $5.3 million. Italy’s imports from Georgia tripled, mainly due to hazelnut exports jumping by $4.8 million to $5.9 million.
In the regional market, Azerbaijan saw a 10% rise in imports from Georgia, reaching $4.4 million. The growth was attributed to strong demand for non-alcoholic carbonated beverages ($9.0 million) and potatoes ($3.6 million).
China also contributed to the growth, with wine exports rising by $1.2 million to $3.2 million.
