In September alone, more table grapes were exported from Georgia than in the previous seven years. EastFruit cites the data obtained from the Ministry of Finance, estimating that 530 tonnes of table grapes were exported last month, with export earnings of $ 403,000.

There were two directions for the export of Georgian table grapes: the main importer was Russia, where 98% of the table grapes exported from Georgia were sent.The remaining 2% went to Qatar. Based on foreign trade data, the average price per ton (including FOB service) was $ 760. It is noteworthy that Russians paid $ 740 per ton, while the average price of grapes in Qatar was $ 2,000.

According to EastFruit, the popularity of table grapes in Georgia has increased in recent years, but almost 99% of the total production still includes wine grapes.
