
President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, met with Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, the Presidential Administration reported.
The meeting focused on expanding the friendly and strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in economic and regional matters. Both sides expressed readiness to deepen collaboration across various sectors.
President Kavelashvili highlighted the strong foundation of Georgian-Azerbaijani relations, built on mutual trust, equality, and respect for each nation’s interests. He thanked Azerbaijan for its consistent support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“I had a very productive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. Georgia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners, working together on vital projects and shared goals. Our relationship is a model for regional cooperation, and I am confident it will continue to grow,” the President stated.
He also reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to supporting long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus, emphasizing the country’s readiness to contribute actively to regional dialogue and cooperation efforts.
