The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze convened with the participants of the annual meeting of heads of Georgia's diplomatic missions abroad, held as part of the Ambassadors' Conference 2024. The primary focus of this year's conference was Georgia's foreign policy priorities within the context of contemporary geopolitical dynamics.
The working session was attended by prominent officials, including President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili, Parliamentary Majority Leader Mamuka Mdinaradze, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani. During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Georgian diplomats for their dedication to advancing the nation’s interests on the international stage.
Kobakhidze emphasized the significance of the Ambassadors' Conference as a platform for information exchange and dialogue on critical issues, particularly those concerning the strengthening of Georgia's international standing and foreign policy initiatives.
Discussions at the meeting focused on the core directions of the government’s program, foreign policy priorities, and the necessity of coordinated efforts to achieve the country’s strategic objectives. Challenges facing Georgia were also addressed, along with potential solutions. The discussion highlighted the constitutional transition to a parliamentary governance system following the inauguration of the newly elected president, noting that the constitution, aligned with the European standards, ensures the country's irreversible democratic development.
The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, during which senior government officials responded to inquiries from the diplomatic representatives, fostering a comprehensive exchange of perspectives.
