Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili commented on recent political developments in Czechia, noting that a new government is being formed amid growing discontent with what he called “Brussels’ misguided policies.”
Papuashvili said it is encouraging that Czechia is taking steps to defend against foreign influence, reflecting a broader European trend where parties focused on national interests and traditional values are gaining strength.
He added that some EU structures treat member states in a patronising manner, but countries such as Hungary, Slovakia, and now Czechia are beginning to challenge this approach.
According to Papuashvili, Brussels’ policies have led the EU into economic stagnation, transforming what was once a “space of peace and prosperity” into one facing the risks of war and crisis.
