The Georgian Orthodox church marks Great Friday today - the hardest day for Christendom.Rituals of crucifixion, conversion and weeping of the Savior will be performed in Orthodox churches. On this day, believers paint eggs red and bake Paska, special Easter bread symbolizing Golgotha, the mountain where Christ was crucified. 

The Easter liturgy will begin in churches tomorrow evening. On Sunday, the Orthodox world will celebrate the glorious feast of Easter. Yesterday, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia conducted a Holy Thursday service at the Trinity Cathedral. The Twelve Gospels of the Passion of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ were also read.
