The Georgian government is fully committed to meeting its international obligations, including maintaining the stability of visa-free travel with the European Union, according to Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of Parliament’s European Integration Committee.

Makhashvili noted that the government is actively cooperating with Brussels, in contrast to what he described as the opposition’s unproductive and disruptive behavior.

"The opposition is attempting to manufacture problems where none exist, prioritizing their political agendas over the country’s interests. Although several protests have been announced, daily life in Georgia remains unaffected. Based on objective indicators, there are no issues concerning visa-free travel," he stated.

He also highlighted that the government has submitted a completed questionnaire to the European Commission and has responded to its prior recommendations.

“We are continuing constructive dialogue with the EU to ensure that visa-free travel remains intact, while also protecting Georgia’s national interests,” Makhashvili concluded.
