
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu to discuss the situation in Georgia’s occupied regions, as reported by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
The Secretary General expressed interest in the latest developments in the occupied territories, while Minister Botchorishvili emphasized the importance of the Geneva International Discussions, the OSCE’s involvement, and the need for a peaceful resolution based on international law.
The meeting also covered regional security challenges, stressing the need to uphold international legal principles for long-term stability and development. Both sides highlighted the OSCE’s vital role in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
The discussion further focused on Georgia-OSCE cooperation, with Minister Botchorishvili reaffirming Georgia’s commitment to the Organization’s principles and active participation in all three dimensions of the OSCE. Special attention was given to collaboration with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
Minister Botchorishvili reiterated Georgia’s readiness to continue working with the OSCE on democratic development and human rights. She also invited Secretary General Sinirlioglu to visit Georgia, to which he responded positively, expressing his intention to do so at the earliest opportunity, according to the Foreign Ministry.
