
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, has paid an official visit to the Republic of Serbia, where she is taking part in the second session of the Georgia–Serbia Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The session is being co-chaired by Minister Kvrivishvili and Serbia’s Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Jagoda Lazarević. According to Georgia’s Ministry of Economy, discussions are focused on strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two ministers are expected to sign a joint statement announcing the launch of negotiations on a free trade agreement between Georgia and Serbia.
As part of her visit, Minister Kvrivishvili will tour the large-scale Belgrade Waterfront project developed by Eagle Hills, one of the capital’s flagship investment initiatives.
She is also scheduled to visit the Belgrade Exhibition Centre, where she will attend a multimedia presentation on Expo 2027. The international exhibition, to be held from April 15 to August 15, 2027, will be the first event of its kind hosted in the Western Balkans.
