Georgian Dream Chairman: Georgian Dream has won 66% of the seats in the municipal councils, we expect that this figure will increase to 68% after the second round

According to the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, out of 2068 seats in the municipal councils, the Georgian Dream will have 1331 seats, the National Movement - 502, For Georgia - 109, Lelo – 27, European Georgia – 27, Third Force - 8, Mechiauri for United Georgia - 6, Alliance of Patriots - 5, European Socialists - 4, Labor Party and People's Party 3-3, Progress and Freedom – 2, Ana Dolidze for People - 2, while Citizens, Girchi and Girchi - More Freedom each will have one seats.

Additionally, independent MPs won 2 seats.

"We would like to remind you once again that our mayoral candidates won the elections in the first round in 44 municipalities, while the second round will be held in only 20 municipalities. We reiterate that we are confident in the victory of our candidates in all 20 municipalities. Consequently, we will improve even the results of the 2017 local self-government elections, when we lost the mayoral elections in two municipalities.

As you know, with the local self-government elections, we also won the so-called referendum announced by the radical opposition.

47 % of Georgian voters reaffirmed their strong confidence in the Georgian Dream. Accepting such a strong legitimacy in the conditions of polarization and betrayal shows the will of the Georgian electorate to continue development and maintain peace and stability in our country. The Georgian people firmly rejected the oppressors and traitors and supported the irreversible development of the country.

This referendum will end on October 30. Once we win the second round again, we will be given the opportunity to take care of the country peacefully for the next 3 years, which we will use as productively as possible," - Kobakhidze stated.
