
During her official visit to China, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, announced that several high-level bilateral meetings are planned, including with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China and the Mayor of Shanghai. She also highlighted that a series of important memorandums are scheduled to be signed during the visit.
“Under the leadership of our Prime Minister, we are conducting a significant visit to China. As part of this visit, we will meet with the Chinese Prime Minister and the Mayor of Shanghai, and sign several key memorandums that will elevate trade and economic cooperation, as well as people-to-people relations, to a new and meaningful level,” Kvrivishvili told journalists.
She emphasized that strengthening relations with China remains a strategic priority for Georgia.
“These memorandums and scheduled meetings will deliver tangible results in the near future, boosting trade turnover and reinforcing economic ties between our countries,” she said.
Kvrivishvili also drew attention to Georgia’s participation in the upcoming China International Import Expo, where the country will be featured for the first time as a guest of honor.
“Georgian entrepreneurs attending the expo will have the chance to connect with major Chinese corporations and promote the export of Georgian products to the Chinese market,” she added.
