
According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Georgia recorded a significant year-on-year increase in agricultural exports as of April 21, 2025, with notable growth in the export of potatoes, nuts (particularly hazelnuts), processed nuts, and pome fruits such as apples.
Potato exports experienced the most dramatic rise, increasing by $18.5 million—a 44-fold jump—reaching a total of $18.9 million. Nut exports also saw substantial growth, rising by $10.6 million (a 42% increase) to $35.8 million, with the European Union serving as the primary destination, accounting for $19 million of the total. Turkey followed with $1.7 million in imports.
Processed nut exports nearly doubled, increasing by $9.5 million (97%) to $19.3 million. Pome fruit exports, mostly apples, grew by $5.4 million—a 5.4-fold increase—to reach $6.7 million.
