
Electric vehicle (EV) imports to Georgia have reached record highs in the first half of 2025, according to the National Statistics Office (Sakstat). Between January and June, 3,616 EVs worth $61.35 million were imported—an 88% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when 1,922 units valued at $38.29 million entered the country.
This sharp rise reflects growing demand for cleaner transport alternatives and marks the highest mid-year import volume on record. The upward trend in EV imports has been especially pronounced in recent years:
