Georgia recorded its highest-ever export figures in March 2025, according to Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
Exports reached $566 million for the month, reflecting an 8.2% increase compared to March 2024. Tsintsadze also highlighted robust first-quarter results, with January–March exports totaling $1.4 billion, up 5.7% year-on-year. Foreign trade turnover in March alone hit $1.97 billion, a 12.5% rise over the same period last year.
“A significant increase is also seen in overall foreign trade turnover,” Tsintsadze stated.
“In Q1, trade turnover grew by more than 16%, exceeding $5.6 billion. We expect these positive trends to continue in the coming months, confirming the Georgian economy’s resilience amid global challenges and uncertainty.”
He emphasized that export growth reflects the competitiveness of Georgian-made products and marks a broader upward trend in foreign trade.
“The current outlook supports a positive forecast for the country’s average economic growth. Our aim is to sustain the high growth trajectory seen in January–February, when average economic growth reached 9.4%,” Tsintsadze added. “This will help raise incomes, create more jobs, and bring Georgia closer to the living standards of developed countries.”
